News Just In!...

March 2010 - February was again a snowy month, not just in Sheffield but many of our customers were reporting heavy and prolonged bad weather. We invested heavily in our Pree Brake - Dave has spent years looking forward to this moment! And our order picker has finally arrived, so staff are being trained in it's safe use. Should make handling towbars much more effiecient. As ever, we are pushing our own boundaries and have increased paint capacity by a third extra - and stock just keeps increasing. We are trialling the e-coating for specific requests on bars other than the Discovery 3 and feedback so far has been fantastic - thankyou. Next stop April! Have a good one for March...

February 2010 - STOP PRESS - A Very Warm Welcome to our Business Development Manager Mike Barrett. Mike joins us from a career in the automotive industry and was the unanimous choice of all three directors here at A1. We wish him a long happy and successful career with the team at A1. January has proved to be the month for snow. Sheffield was awash with the white stuff and still our carriers turned up faithfully - thankyou for your praise of our carriers - it was passed on. We are recruiting hard at the moment, with vacancies in our ever expanding production team for Welders and Press Shop Operatives. Our New Sales Executive will be announced shortly - very exciting!. In terms of stock the warehouse is full to bursting and many of you have already commented on the improvements - thanks. The weather was a problem to a number of you, and so we took the decision to extend our January Sales Offer through February to help you out there a little. Our Production Director is once again on the hunt for a new press brake - we're still waiting to take delivery of our order picker - oops! Welcome to all those of you recently new to A1, and good luck to all for February, we hope its full of love in the air, and not so much snow!

January 2010 - Happy New Year from all the team here in Sheffield, and thanks again for your business in December. Looking around the warehouse this month, our stocks are greater than ever for the start of the New Season. Our brand new order picker is on its way meaning greater efficiency for our warehouse staff - we will be looking at extending our order deadline when we've trialled this. Our team of welders has increased again following our upgrade in electrical supply back in December, so we are really gearing up to the start of the New Season in Production. The Discovery Three towbar has hit the ground running and sales have been amazing - thankyou for all your feedback on this. Our design plan is now fully updated and included in our new Product Listing which you have hopefully received by email in December. Our office has been revamped over the Christmas break, and so our sales team have new furniture and computers etc. , as well as a newly decorated office. Let's hope 2010 is a good one for us all. December 2009 - - November was again very busy for us, and for that we'd like to thank all our customers - old and not so old! Feedback on the free towball offer was very good, and we've just started to plan our New Year offer - so sit tight - its on its way! We've taken several new customers on board in November - welcome to those people. Leanna has had plenty of positive feedback and some good results in her first month at the new job. Great news for her. We've extended our Welding Capacity and our Warehouse is now full to bursting with Brand New Product for You! We wish you all a very happy christmas.

November 2009 - You seemed to take advantage of our October offer of free carriage! - once again we had a very good month. We've been busy on the design front with the release of the Sportage and Saab 93 bars. WATCH THIS SPACE - AMAZING NEWS COMING SOON FROM A1! Production Staff have been very busy as usual and stock levels are being increased for the start of the New Year. With just 54 shopping days left til Christmas as we write, theres still a lot more development we have in store in time for January. Our customers seem content - some having had a very good year despite the 'recession', great news. After some initial hiccups with our new carrier, we've got to grips and the service is working well - customers are enjoying the new tracking system.

October 09 - September was another busy month for us all at A1. We have hot news on design - keep checking our website to find out what we've been up to! We have made some internal staff promotions and so have undergone some changes in production and warehouse work methods. In terms of our October offer, we have teamed up with our new carrier City Link to offer free standard carriage in October - please take advantage whilst you can. We are putting in new orders for workwear - please contact us with your requirements - as winter draws near our warm fleeces are just the thing to keep the cold at bay... The Civic and 407 bars have been released for sale - the 407 fits to current model - a total redesign - we hope you'll like it... Only 90 sleeps til Christmas - according to Leanna! Happy Days...

June 09 - Can't believe we're writing this but June was our best month ever - thanks so much. We've released the Qashqai and the Tiguan and received approval to extend our VN923 to fit up to current model Golf. Next on the design list are the Honda Civic, a selection of Kias and the Saab 9-3. Our Credit Manager, Cheryl is back from Maternity Leave, she'll no doubt be catching up with customers very shortly. Production is steaming ahead, becoming more efficient, and driving costs down. The sales team are rightly proud of their achievements and are looking forward to promoting our July offer of 20% off all our Accessory Range. In the meantime, we know the weather is sunny on Sheffield - we hope its that way for you - wherever you may be. Best Regards for a successful month.

April 09 - What can we say? Business in March has been extraordinary thanks to all customers old and new, large and not so large. We're grateful for it all. Our Accessories offer went down a storm, so we are now revising our range and examining prices again in readiness for 2009 Summer Season. Lee has been out and busy visiting some of you, and has come back with some very positive feedback, as well as projects and ideas for us to work on. The guys in the office have been working hard to cope with demand, so far so good! Shopfloor staff have been working their mittens off and we have set on 2 new members of staff. We have released 3 new designs in March (Insignia has produced rave reviews, and are looking towards at least two in April. (Clio and Tiguan). We have put together the Full Monty Offer for April, with a free Special Edition Boxed Set Full Monty for the First 20 orders of Batches of 25! Fab. Enjoy your month.
